They are fully dedicated to what they do. I travel at ease knowing that my dog is in their care Grasso Shepards is Not your average trainer/breeder. Not only are they professional breeders and trainers but they have boarding services as well. Which brings me back to how awesome the staff at Grasso Shepards is. Unfortunately being as large as Khan is we cannot take him on vacation. He absolutely loves all children, adults and animals. My Shepard Khan has the most amazing temperament. The best part of purchasing my dog Khan from Grasso Shepherds is knowing I received a quality pure bread. They are very knowledgeable and dedicated to both breeding and training dogs. Overall, our experience with Erich and Grasso Shepherds was a delight and we recommend them to friends and family who are looking for an informed expert that delivers a top-notch quality product (and family member!) CLOSEĮrich Grasso and his Staff are wonderful. Six months later, we remain in contact with Erich on Boon's development as well as for tips and urgent questions. He even helped us manage Boon's flight from Connecticut to Chicago during our move to the Midwest. All the while keeping us involved in the process through teaching and hands-on lessons on subjects such as safety, nutrition, medicine, communication, breeding and more. He did so with precision, professionalism and thorough care. He found our "Boon" and began training her accordingly. At our first visit, Erich listened to and understood our situation and immediately began a search for the perfect addition to our family. Obviously we come with certain unique needs such as the ability for our pet to live in an urban environment as well as deal well with many people. In our search for the family's first pet, we came across Grasso Shepherds. We are a family with six young children and live in a condo building among the skyscrapers of downtown Chicago. He has taught us, as well as the dog, how to handle and enjoy this exceptional breed. Even now, months later, Erich is always a phone call away for all questions and concerns. We are so grateful to Erich and his team. He was a completely different dog-a pleasure to take anywhere, respectful to all animals, very well behaved, did not eat any more flip flops or rocks, came to us on demand, and was a friend to Rocky.Įrich is better than a dog whisperer! He gave us a dog that is loving, protective, intelligent, and obedient. Three weeks passed and it was time to pick Bentley up. He was knowledgeable, caring, and trustworthy. We met with Erich and after much discussion it only made sense for us to have Bentley trained by Erich. The officer informed me that Erich would be able to work with us as a family and elicit the significant potential that those familiar with Shepard’s have come to expect. He asked about my dog and proceeded to advise me to get in touch with Erich Grasso. Exasperated, I called the Stamford Police Department and spoke to an officer in the canine unit. Bentley was so difficult to manage, our family started to discuss giving him away. We rescued Bentley because he needed a home however we did not realize what this particular breed required from its owners. Bentley would bully our other dog, Rocky, when he wanted to play, but poor Rocky had no intentions of playing with the dog that changed the relaxing life he once knew. Multiple months of dog classes, and a “puppy star” certificate later, still Bentley found ways to wreak havoc in our household. He is extremely smart, the first time he realized that “come” meant to come inside or go in the crate he decided not to listen despite hours of coaxing, demanding, and chasing him around the yard. He had to have everything in his mouth including flip-flops, couch cushions, sticks, rocks, etc. Bentley was destructive, as most puppies are, despite supervision. We were naïve to the breed and the high energy a Malinois (Belgian Shepherd) possesses. Erich has helped our family with Bentley immensely.
